We're on a mission to redefine the customer experience, and we need a passionate Principal IRAP Assessor/Cyber Security Specialist to join our team in Canberra or Melbourne.

The Principal IRAP Assessor / Cyber Security Specialist provides expert cyber security guidance, assessment and training development to support the implementation of a national cyber security framework. The role ensures that organisations can effectively meet policy and security obligations by delivering high-quality assessments, training courses and advisory services, while contributing to the continuous improvement of cyber security practices and tools.

Requirements

What you'll bring:

  • Deliver subject matter expertise for the development and implementation of a cyber security assessment process in line with national guidance.
  • Provide technical and subject matter input to the design and delivery of cyber security training courses, micro-credentials, and associated learning materials.
  • Support consultative forums, change management and communications with the cyber security community and key stakeholders across government.
  • Align training and assessment programs with existing cyber security frameworks, including assessor and assessment uplift activities, Whole of Government cyber maturity, and risk intelligence functions.
  • Provide expert advice and support the maintenance of training labs, communication materials, and cyber toolkits.
  • Advise on cyber security initiatives, policies, and frameworks, including assessments related to system certification and compliance.
  • Conduct quality assurance of assessment reports, training materials, and other key artefacts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of cyber security practices, training delivery, and assessment methodologies.

What you'll do:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering complex cyber security policy, guidance, training, or security assessments for national-level or equivalent organisations.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in ICT security assessments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role and responsibilities of an IRAP Assessor, and familiarity with relevant security policies and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to deliver the full scope of services including assessment, advisory, training development, and quality assurance of key cyber artefacts.
  • Strong technical expertise in cyber security principles, risk assessment, and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience developing or delivering national-level cyber security training programs is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate qualifications in Cyber Security or ICT, or equivalent industry-recognised cyber security certifications, are desirable.
  • Ability to operate with high integrity and professionalism in sensitive and high-security environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Capacity to travel as required and maintain active security clearance (NV1 or equivalent).
