We're on a mission to redefine the customer experience, and we need a passionate Senior Cyber Security Governance Analyst to join our Staff Augmentation team in ACT.

The Senior Cyber Security Governance Analyst will support the delivery of cyber security governance, risk and compliance activities across a major resilience uplift program. The role will provide senior-level cyber security advice, assurance and governance support, contributing to the development of security requirements, formal documentation and risk-based decision making.

Requirements

What you'll do:

  • Provide senior cyber security governance, risk and compliance expertise across security and resilience initiatives.
  • Contribute to solution design by identifying and advising on cyber security and information security considerations.
  • Review, develop and provide recommendations on cyber security requirements to support secure technology and business outcomes.
  • Develop high-quality security governance documentation, including security assessments, requirements, advice and formal security artefacts.
  • Prepare clear cyber security communications and documentation to support senior executive decision making.
  • Coordinate and support security assurance activities, including IRAP assessments, penetration testing and related assurance processes.
  • Identify and assess cyber security risks, providing practical recommendations and advice to support risk-based decision making.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, technology teams and service providers to achieve security outcomes.
  • Support the implementation of cyber security governance frameworks, policies, controls and assurance processes.
  • Provide cyber security governance support during major operational or electoral events, including responding to event-specific security requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of cyber security governance, risk and compliance processes and practices.

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a senior Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) role.
  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the Information Security Manual (ISM), Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Essential Eight.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining cyber security governance, risk and compliance documentation.
  • Experience providing cyber security advice and recommendations across technology solutions, projects or business initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or supporting security assurance activities, such as IRAP assessments, penetration testing and security reviews.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and translate complex security matters into clear advice.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality written documentation for senior executive and governance audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess security risks and recommend practical outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities, including periods of heightened operational activity.
  • Experience in relevant cyber security, governance, risk or compliance roles is highly desirable.
  • Current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance is required prior to commencement.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in the ACT, with flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during key operational periods when required.
