Senior Designer

We're looking for a Senior Designer who believes B2B products should feel as intuitive, delightful, and human as the best B2C experiences - and that AI should amplify, not complicate, them. Reporting to the VP of Product, you'll own the design vision, raise the bar for craft, and turn complex enterprise workflows into AI-native, consumer-grade experiences - helping establish Certa as a benchmark for modern B2B and AI-native UX.

What You'll Do

• Own the design vision: Define and own the end-to-end product design vision with a B2C-quality bar for B2B experiences, and lead the evolution toward AI-native UX where AI is embedded into workflows rather than bolted on as a feature.

• Design trustworthy AI: Establish principles for human-in-the-loop design, trust, explainability, and transparency, and decide when automation, recommendations, or agentic flows truly create user value.

• Lead product & UX end-to-end: Own design across the full lifecycle - discovery, research, ideation, prototyping, validation, and delivery - partnering deeply with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to translate complex enterprise workflows into intuitive, self-serve, scalable experiences.

• Build the team & culture: Build, mentor, and grow a high-impact design team as Certa scales, establishing strong critique, feedback, and experimentation practices and a collaborative, design-led culture.

• Influence stakeholders: Clearly communicate design and AI-UX decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams, advocate for user trust and long-term experience quality, and balance speed with craft and innovation with usability.

What You'll Need

• Experience: 5-8 years of product design experience, with a strong B2C background and exposure to B2B or enterprise products, and a proven ability to simplify complex workflows into elegant, intuitive experiences.

• AI-native design: Hands-on experience designing AI-native products - copilots, agentic workflows, conversational and multimodal interfaces, recommendation systems - with enough grasp of LLM/agent concepts to partner with engineering on feasibility, evaluate model outputs, and design around latency, uncertainty, and failure states.

• Tools: Fluent with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools (Figma AI, v0, Cursor, Claude/ChatGPT) and comfortable using them daily to accelerate your work.

• Portfolio: A strong portfolio of shipped work demonstrating craft, clarity, and impact - bonus if it includes AI-native or agentic product experiences.

• Leadership & communication: Experience leading design initiatives or small teams (people management a plus), with excellent communication and storytelling and the ability to influence product direction through design.

• Mindset: A belief that great design is a competitive advantage even in complex enterprise software, a clear point of view on how AI should feel (helpful, trustworthy, human), and high ownership, curiosity, and bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

• Nice to have: Designing AI-native products from the ground up; a background in enterprise, workflow-heavy, or data-intensive SaaS; experience modernizing legacy or complex systems; and startup or high-growth company experience.

This role is based in India (remote). Certa is a remote-first company and we hire globally. We believe strongly in each team member working from the location that they choose. Should Certers wish to meet and work in person, they have 3 lively office locations they can travel to:
