  • Coordinate and review monthly obligations to TSS, SUIR, INFOTEP, and other labor and social security requirements.
  • Verify the correct application of ISR (income tax), TSS, and other legal deductions, as well as authorized internal deductions.
  • Oversee special payroll processes arising from period closings, audits, extraordinary requests, or transfers between locations.
  • Review calculations for vacations, Regalía Pascual (Christmas bonus), labor benefits and severance, bonuses, and other benefits, as applicable.
  • Apply tax credit balances in favor of employees and other authorized tax credits in payroll, including those related to the Education Expenses Law.

  • Provide analytical information to the Payroll Manager, the Controller, and other authorized areas to support decision-making.
  • Maintain the controls necessary to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of employees' salary and personal information.
  • Coordinate the preparation of evidence and documentation required for internal, external, tax, and labor audits.
  • Supervise the Payroll Officer and other staff under your responsibility, distribute workloads, evaluate performance, and promote technical development.
  • Act as operational backup for the Payroll Manager, ensuring department continuity during their absences.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and process improvement, strengthening controls and reducing manual tasks and risk of error.
  • Participate in the implementation or improvement of payroll-related systems, including ERP, time and attendance systems, and government platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with the payroll calendar and all critical deadlines associated with labor, tax, and social security obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Specialization or complementary training in payroll, labor law, social security, finance, or people management is a plus.

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in payroll processes, preferably in high-volume organizations.
  • Prior experience supervising staff or coordinating a payroll team.

Technical Knowledge

  • Dominican Labor Code and applicable labor regulations.
  • Social security, TSS/SUIR, INFOTEP, and related processes.
  • ISR (income tax) on salaries and related payroll tax obligations.
  • Calculation of severance, vacations, Regalía Pascual, and other benefits.
  • Payroll-related general ledger reconciliations and accruals.
  • Ability to handle and analyze large volumes of information.

Competencies
