We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our exceptional team. In this role, you will oversee daily accounting activities, ensure financial accuracy, and support companywide decision-making by maintaining strong financial controls. You’ll manage core functions such as daily transaction posting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting, with a commitment to accuracy, ethical practices, and GAAP compliance.
The Senior Accountant also works closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial review processes, making this role a key contributor to the financial health and success of Charles IT.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily financial transactions - including payables and receivables - are posted timely and accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Assist with and oversee AP/AR functions.
- Process payroll timely and accurately.
- Oversee and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather financial data and provide financial guidance as needed.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
- Additional responsibilities may be included on an as needed basis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Sage Intacct experience is preferred
- Extensive hands-on experience with Excel
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial information clearly.
- High integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Proven ability to manage complex financial tasks and interpret financial data.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.

Hybrid Work Schedule:
This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after the successful completion of a 60-day onboarding period. Hybrid work eligibility is specific to this position and is intended to provide flexibility while maintaining collaboration, team engagement, and client support.
