Charm Industrial removes carbon dioxide by converting crop residue into bio-oil and injecting it deep underground. The process locks carbon that plants have already captured into geological storage instead of letting the biomass rot. The company sells durable removal credits to corporate buyers and also works on fossil-free iron production.

Charm Industrial is hiring an Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) Analyst to help scale the team responsible for measuring, reporting, and verifying the carbon removal generated through Charm's bio-oil injection process. As Charm is growing quickly, and this role is central to keeping that reporting accurate, timely, and audit-ready as we scale our impact.

The MRV Analyst will own the day-to-day work of gathering and reporting the data that verifiers, registries, and other stakeholders use to quantify and credit Charm’s climate impact. This will include gathering and QAing data, maintaining accurate records across reporting systems, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to get the inputs needed on time. The Analyst is also responsible for creating, maintaining and optimizing GHG and other project impact reporting packages, ensuring a repeatable, reliable, and efficient verification process and managing our regular third-party verification audits. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role for someone comfortable working across data and documentation systems and driving inputs from people outside their own team.

The Analyst will be trained by and work closely with Charm's MRV team day-to-day, in addition to cross-functional teams focused on operations, engineering, development, and materials science. This role is based in Ft. Lupton Colorado.

Your Responsibilities

    • Ensure key operational, monitoring, and compliance data required for CDR project reporting is delivered to MRV on time and on spec

    • Act as a platform power-user collaborating with technical teams from our digital MRV (dMRV) platforms Mangrove and Isometric Certify, and Charm’s own IT infrastructure ensuring consistently efficient, accurate, and easy-to-verify reporting moves from primary data through final delivery while maximizing clarity and accuracy while minimizing human intervention

    • Own QA of incoming and outgoing data, ensuring error-free and properly evidenced reporting

    • Be an internal MRV evangelist, building cross-functional relationships that keep MRV front-of-mind and democratize knowledge of Charm’s policies/requirements, industry best practices and proactive reporting across all relevant teams

    • Own CDR reporting including successfully managing reporting audits and receiving, responding to, and closing out VVB findings and maintain a 100% verification success rate for GHG Statement submissions

    • Drive consistent reductions in the time and administrative overhead required to verify and credit CDR across all assets and pathways

    • Ensure data collection, monitoring, and reporting systems are ready to support radically increased scale and actively collaborate with MRV Team colleagues to turn pain points and areas of risk into efficient sprints that continuously optimize these systems

    • Use feedback from internal and external stakeholders and a knowledge of MRV best practices and standards to drive continuous improvement of MRV processes
