Counterbalance FLT Driver - Trafford Park (M17)

Salary: £28,624.43 + 33% shift allowance = £38,070.49 per year

Shifts: Night shift, Sun-Thu (10pm - 6am)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Trafford Park, M17

About the role

We’re looking for a skilled Counterbalance FLT Driver to join CHEP - the global leader in pallet, crate, and container pooling. You’ll operate 4.5-ton triple fork FLTs in a fast-paced yard environment, supporting production and haulier operations.

What you’ll do

• Safely operate FLT trucks to support production & haulier operations
• Direct visiting vehicles during loading & unloading
• Maintain smooth flow on production lines within agreed SLAs
• Assist with manual inspection & repair of yard equipment
• Report any damage or operational issues promptly
• Handle and rotate stock safely and efficiently

What we need from you

• Experience as a Counterbalance FLT Driver (busy yard/HGV loading preferred)
• External FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR) is ideal - in-house licences considered
• Experience with double/triple fork FLTs = big advantage
• Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
