Your Responsibilities

  • Keep collaboration spaces meeting-ready by performing routine checks of conference rooms, huddle spaces, and other shared spaces to ensure displays, cameras, microphones, and Zoom Rooms are working as expected.
  • Deliver responsive, hands-on technical support for audio-visual and video conferencing technology, resolving routine issues and partnering with senior engineers when more advanced troubleshooting is needed.
  • Help associates have seamless meeting experiences by assisting with video conferences, content sharing, and in-room audio-visual technology while providing friendly, professional service
  • Bring internal events to life by assisting senior engineers with the setup, operation, and teardown of audio, video, lighting, and other event technology for meetings, town halls, and events.
  • Prepare and care for audio-visual equipment through routine testing, preventive maintenance, cleaning, cable organization, and equipment staging to help keep technology ready for use
  • Manage assigned support requests from start to finish, documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions and escalating non-routine issues appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate equipment and support documentation, including hardware inventory, accessories, room documentation, and knowledge articles that help the team deliver consistent service.
  • Grow your technical expertise through hands-on experience, training, mentorship, and established operating procedures while building the skills needed to take on increasingly advanced audio-visual engineering work.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Associate degree or technical certificate in information technology, audio-visual technology, electronics, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Up to two years of experience in audio-visual support, information technology support, event technology, or a related technical field. Relevant internships, coursework, or hands-on experience are welcome.
  • Familiarity with video conferencing and collaboration platforms, such as Zoom Meetings, Zoom Rooms, or comparable technologies.
  • Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment, including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and common connection types such as High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and Universal Serial Bus (USB).
  • Foundational knowledge of computers, basic networking concepts, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, manage details accurately, and recognize when an issue requires assistance from a senior engineer.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship.
  • Ability to lift and transport audio-visual equipment and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Demonstrates the IT Professional 1 competencies of Tech Savvy, Communicates Effectively, and Nimble Learning. These are all designated competencies for the IT Professional 1 level in it-individual-contributor-Competencies.

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Digital Workplace Manager. You will have 3 peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Field/Remote - Select roles designated as field/remote will require associates to work from a home office, connecting virtually with Choice team members and leadership on Zoom, with possible required travel depending on the role.
