The Role
The Logistics & Gallery Operations Coordinator supports and coordinates the day-to-day activity of the Logistics & Gallery Operations department.
The role is central to daily execution, including freelance planning, crate management, artwork movement coordination, gallery space allocation, inventory coordination, JDE updates, and liaison with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Logistics & Gallery Coordination
Manage day-to-day artwork movement coordination.
Manage day-to-day gallery space management and ensure operational requests are followed through.
Act as main point of contact for PS department for all of their operational requests.
Liaise with other Operations departments where needed.
Freelance Planning & Resource Coordination
Plan and coordinate freelance art handler requirements.
Ensure freelance planning is efficient and communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure freelance invoicing is accurate.
Inventory & Movement Support
Support day-to-day inventory coordination and help resolve operational discrepancies.
Coordinate special artwork movements under guidance from management.
Calendar & Systems Coordination
Support Sales Calendar JDE management.
Maintain accurate operational information and ensure timely updates across relevant systems and communication channels.
Other Responsibilities
Supervise the department’s intern
Support exhibition set-up and dismantle coordination.
Assist with operational reporting and coordination tasks as required.
Carry out other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Good knowledge of JDE or ability to quickly learn operational systems.
Strong project coordination skills.
Comfortable liaising with third-party vendors on behalf of Christie’s.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Team player with a proactive and willing attitude.
Reporting Line: Gallery Operations Manager
Compensation Range
Salary: 36,000 - 42,000.00
*Posted salary range does not include discretionary bonus compensation and/or overtime pay.
