Role Purpose

We are looking for a competent and proactive finance professional to support the Finance Manager and CFO in a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic insurance business, working across teams to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of financial reporting, statutory submissions, reconciliations, and audit deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of:

    • Reinsurance balance reconciliations (IRAS), including reinsurance account settlements
    • Monthly reconciliation of premium due from brokers, cedants, agents, and customers
    • Monthly investment and investment income statements
    • Monthly and quarterly submissions
    • Submissions to government departments and trade bodies
    • Aged balances analysis and correspondence for premium collection
    • Outward and inward remittance documents, including Proceed Realization Certificates
  • Review of submissions prepared by finance staff, including:

    • Periodic federal and provincial tax/levies submissions and payments
    • Payment and receipt vouchers
    • Federal Insurance Fee
    • Monthly bank reconciliations
    • Monthly insurance stamps reconciliation
    • Monthly petty cash reconciliation
    • Fixed assets register
    • Company insurances
  • Timely payment of all regulatory fees and trade body membership charges.

  • Liaise with business and claims teams to ensure premium and claims bookings and reconciliations are accurate and completed on time.

  • Provide timely, accurate information to the Finance Manager, highlighting key issues and matters requiring immediate attention. Support and coordinate audit activities through to successful completion.

  • Provide prompt information to support:

    • Company statutory returns
    • Regional submissions
    • Monthly report analysis and variance commentary
  • Maintain effective coordination across departments to support annual IFSR rating review submissions and bank panel enlistment requirements.

  • Work closely with lines of business, customers, cedants, brokers, and agents to support timely premium collection and actively contribute to credit control meetings.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, or CA finalist)
  • Fluent in English and Urdu
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a finance function
  • Proficient in MS Office, with strong data collation and presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships within the team and across the business
