Position Overview:

As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will design, build, and support enterprise-grade applications end to end-from scalable, secure backend services through to modern Angular front ends. Working closely with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams, you will contribute to technical design and architecture decisions, lead and mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards. You will also adopt AI tools and AI-assisted software development lifecycle (SDLC) frameworks to improve speed, quality, and productivity across delivery. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in the Java ecosystem, cloud-native development, and practical AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support production systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines.
• Lead and manage engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability building.
• Adopt and leverage AI tools and frameworks to improve speed, quality, and overall productivity.

Qualifications:

• 8-14 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related STEM fields, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java full stack development.
• Experience with object-oriented design, design patterns, and enterprise application development.
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular 17, including standalone components.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, and event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and platforms, preferably on Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with version control, Jenkins, CI/CD, and agile development practices.
• Ability to drive software development lifecycle management, including versioning, documentation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Genuine hands-on depth in adopting AI/ML tools, frameworks, and services.
• Expertise in AI-assisted SDLC frameworks such as Anthropic Claude, Agentic AI, and GSD to automate and optimise the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
