QA Engineer

We're looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software through a combination of manual and automated testing. Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases for web applications and backend services.
• Build, maintain, and enhance automation test suites for UI and API testing.
• Validate frontend functionality, user workflows, and backend business logic.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Test REST APIs, databases, and system integrations to ensure reliability and accuracy.
• Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, and release quality.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Good understanding of SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript for automation is preferred.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Foundations:

• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools such as Jira is a plus.
