The Supply Chain Transformation Central Business Architect (CBA) serves as the primary strategic orchestrator bridging enterprise business vision, global physical manufacturing/fulfillment networks, and next-generation cognitive digital core systems. In the era of the AI-Forward Supply Chain, the Central Business Architect is responsible for defining the vision and roadmap by architecting, governing, and evolving end-to-end operational capability blueprints that transform traditional linear supply chain workflows into an intelligent, autonomous, self-healing, and multi-tier ecosystem.
Your Impact
Target State Strategy & Architecture Blueprinting
- Enterprise Capability Modeling: Define, maintain, and publish the master Cisco Supply Chain Business Capability Model
- AI Roadmap Orchestration: Collaborate with functional architecture teams and AI Governance teams to define the 3-5-year cognitive supply chain roadmap.
- Value-Case Engineering: Construct quantified ROI models, total cost of ownership, benchmarks, and executive business cases to secure executive sponsorship for multi-million-dollar transformations.
Cross-Functional Orchestration & Ecosystem Alignment
- Strategic Stakeholder Bridging: Serve as the connective tissue aligning leaders across Global Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Logistics, Supplier Management, Quality, Product Component Operations & Global Planning), Enterprise IT, BU Product Management, Operations Finance, and Global Sales.
- Business Innovation Sprints (BIS): Design and facilitate intensive cross-functional BIS workshops to deconstruct complex operational challenges into rapid minimum viable capabilities.
- External Partner Co-Engineering: Interface with strategic partners to establish unified operating procedures, benchmarking and innovation roadmap
Architecture Governance & Discipline
- Architecture Review Board Leadership: Lead Supply Chain rapid assessments and other such activities to evaluate value case, investments needed, ensuring compliance with target-state modular capability designs and avoiding duplicative tool proliferation.
- Pilot-to-Scale Transition: Oversee the transition of new business models, AI/ML pilots into scalable enterprise-grade production.
- Guardrails & Compliance Enforcement: Embed governance and operating model for AI ethics guardrails directly into automated operational workflows.
Value Realization
- KPI & Value Realization Tracking: Establish and monitor quantitative value-realization scorecards, verifying that completed transformations deliver promised cost takeout, lead-time compression, and margin expansion.
- Digital Journey Dashboard Evolution: Curate and optimize real-time operational orchestration, surfacing process bottlenecks and friction points to operations leadership.
- AI Adoption & Autonomous Exception Rate: Building a vision for elevating autonomous supply chain exception resolution by reducing human touchpoints in routine supply chain roles.
Practice Leadership & Talent Enablement
- Capability Repository Management: Curate Cisco's centralized business architecture repository, ensuring reusable capability maps, process flows, and architectural assets are accessible enterprise wide.
- Team Mentorship: Coach and mentor domain business architects, process engineers, and technical leads across the broader Operations organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or any other related field with at least 10 years of applicable experience, with a focus on 2 or more supply chain domains
- Ability to summarize detailed requirements into a digestible, fluid message that can be tailored for multiple levels of the organization
- Domain expertise in global high-tech electronics with hands-on experience architecting complex enterprise cores
- 7+ Years working on Enterprise Architecture / Transformation
- Familiarity in delivery of AI & Cognitive Supply Chain operational solutions
- Good understanding of business procedures and operations is necessary.
- Program management expertise, working knowledge of Supply Chain systems, and a proven ability to drive the efforts with large multi-functional teams
- Ability to summarize detailed requirements into a digestible, fluid message that can be tailored for multiple levels of the organization
