Master Data Architect (Databricks), Colombia

As CI&T expands its data practice into new markets, we are looking for an experienced Master Data Architect to take technical ownership of a data modernization engagement for a new client. This is a foundational role: the professional will step in after an initial assessment phase to guide the long-term technical direction of the account, working closely with teams across Mexico, North America, Brazil, and other Latin American countries.

This role blends hands-on architecture with team and stakeholder leadership. The Master Data Architect will guide a multidisciplinary team through the full lifecycle of data products - from design through deployment - while balancing foundational technical work with the delivery of incremental, measurable business value. Success in this position depends on the ability to navigate between technical and business priorities, translate client needs into practical solutions, and maintain close alignment with CI&T's broader data practice.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Lead the team technically, enabling data scientists and data developers to build, enhance, and maintain data products across the engagement.
• Architecture & Design: Participate in design and architecture discussions, defining solutions that follow security and performance best practices.
• Solution Strategy: Understand business and technical requirements and translate them into viable technical solutions by selecting appropriate frameworks and approaches.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate directly with client team members to align technical solutions with business needs, balancing perspectives from technical leadership (focused on foundational work) and business leadership (focused on solving practical problems).
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with strategy, customer experience, product, and non-technical program management teams to ensure solutions serve broader business goals.
• Delivery Environment: Guarantee a stable and productive development environment for the team.
• Data Assessment: Participate in data assessments and complex data modernization engagements, identifying priorities that deliver incremental value.
• Practice Connection: Maintain direct connection with CI&T's data practice, contributing to and drawing on shared expertise across projects and clients.
• Multi-market Delivery: Work across a variety of projects, clients, and subject-matter domains in coordination with teams in Mexico, North America, Brazil, and other Latin American countries.

Requirements:

• Advanced/Fluent English (C1 or above)
• Advanced/Fluent Spanish (C1 or above)
• Solid experience in data architecture design and technical leadership
• Solid experience designing, developing, and deploying pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar);
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration and workflow automation
• Solid experience translating business problems into data solutions

Nice to Have:

• Experience with consultative data assessments and data modernization engagements
• Knowledge of Data Governance principles
• Experience with CI/CD and MLOps pipelines
• Experience collaborating with pre-sales, presenting data solutions to non-technical audiences
• Ability to build proof of concepts and prototype complex technical mechanisms
• Experience scaling data workloads
• Familiarity with AI engagements and agentic coding
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
