The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
- Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
- Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
- Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
- Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable Java-based applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices in software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Engineering
Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade Java applications and microservices
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following SOLID principles
Design & Implement RESTful APIs and web services using Spring Boot and related frameworks
Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) - from requirements gathering to production deployment
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
Technical Leadership
Lead and mentor junior and Entry-level developers, providing guidance on code quality and best practices
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure standards compliance and knowledge sharing
Drive technical decision-making including architecture discussions and technology evaluations
Champion DevOps culture by promoting CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile methodologies
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and UX/UI Designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Collaborate with DevOps/Platform Engineering teams for smooth deployments and infrastructure management
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Quality & Security
Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)
Participate in vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts
Monitor application health and proactively address incidents and performance bottlenecks
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience
6+ years of hands-on professional software development experience
6+ years of deep expertise in Java (Java 17/21, or 25 preferred)
Proven track record of delivering complex, production-grade enterprise applications
