Director of EUC Enterprise Governance Strategy Planning and Execution
The Data Governance Foundation Sr. Group Manager is a senior level role managing a team responsible for facilitating all aspects of the EUC Enterprise Governance Strategy Plan and Execution. The role ensures strategic initiatives and executive priorities are translated into actionable plans while coordinating cross-functional execution, governance materials are consistently decision-ready, and responses to emerging regulatory and operational priorities are coordinated. The Director will champion a balanced, risk-based approach to governance recognizing that robust risk management and business growth are mutually reinforcing. This role ensures absolute alignment with regulatory expectations while preserving the agility, speed-to-market, and innovative capacity, through the use of AI enablement, of our business units.Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Management responsibility for a team, including management of people, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval
- Liaise with business/function/regional partners to understand and align EUC Enterprise Governance, and Risk and Control related work
- Manage and lead EUC Governance Strategy, including industry best practices
- Drive progress, and provide guidance for adherence and continued development of enterprise-wide guiding policies, driving a risk-based approach
- Develop materials to effectively and concisely articulate progress on the EUC Enterprise Governance strategy for both standard and adhoc senior leadership and regulatory updates
- Liaise with metrics team to articulate clear requirements for objective measures necessary to support narratives with key stakeholders
- Drive actionable insights for the Businesses and Functions with regards to active EUCs to drive efficiencies and opportunities in this space
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of overall experience
- 10+ years relevant experience in Banking, Financial Services, with 8-10+ years' managerial experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strategic mindset, with ability to foresee future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
- Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
- Can effectively lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity; Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes
- Manage through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
- Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizations; and demonstrates effective work relationships with business and global function colleagues
- Experience creating and executing against frameworks that improve the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments and enhance risk management. Experience leveraging glossary, lineage, and data quality tools to drive governance
- Experience creating and being a champion for a positive risk culture that supports sustainable business growth through transparent engagement, a partnership approach, and a no-tolerance approach for behavior that exposes the organization to an inappropriate amount of risk
- Understanding of the overall regulatory environment and previous experience working with regulators on data plan execution, preferred
- Working knowledge of Citi’s Data Operating Model

- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
