Position Overview
The Lead Full Stack Developer will join Client Technology - a business-focused engineering division within Services Markets Banking (SMB)- where you will design and deliver enterprise-scale applications that directly shape how Citi's global clients experience its products and platforms. In this senior individual contributor role, you will own the technical delivery of complex, high-impact systems that sit at the heart of the firm's daily operations. Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-grade full stack applications using C#, .NET 6+, and Angular 13+, ensuring solutions are scalable, stable, and aligned to service level expectations.
- Architect end-to-end solutions for complex business problems, applying established design patterns and engineering best practices to deliver robust, production-ready systems.
- Lead application releases across the full delivery lifecycle - from development and testing through to production deployment and post-release validation.
- Build and maintain integrations between distributed systems using REST APIs, messaging queues, and SSL-secured services, ensuring reliable and secure data flow across platforms.
- Manage and support live application environments, proactively resolving issues to maintain stability, performance, and effectiveness for end users including traders and business teams.
- Act as a technical liaison between business users, internal engineering teams, and external vendors, translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, sharing technical knowledge, promoting engineering standards, and supporting team capability growth.
- Contribute to risk and compliance considerations within engineering decisions, ensuring applications adhere to relevant regulatory policies and firm standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 6 or more years of experience with a strong command of the full software development lifecycle.
- 10 or more years of experience building and managing enterprise applications.
- Hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, .NET 6+, Angular 13+, REST APIs, Web Services, jQuery, JSON, HTML, and CSS, with demonstrable delivery in production environments.
- Minimum 3 years of solution architecture experience, designing enterprise-wide systems using scalable design patterns and cloud-native technologies.
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture including ECS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices, with the ability to design and operate resilient deployment environments.
- Expertise in integrating event-driven messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka and implementing messaging queue solutions over SSL-secured connections.
- Advanced proficiency with NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB, including schema design, integration, and performance considerations at enterprise scale.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible language for a range of audiences.
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

- Working knowledge of Python, with an interest in applying it within AI/ML contexts to extend platform capabilities.
- Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business-critical applications in regulated or financial services environments.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities in fast-paced, high-stakes engineering environments.
- A track record of driving knowledge sharing and cross-team collaboration to improve collective engineering standards and delivery outcomes.
