Citi is seeking an exceptional, hands-on Product Manager to lead the charge in developing and launching transformative Data and AI solutions within our Securities Finance business within Investor Services.
The Securities Finance team is part of the Investor Services franchise within Services at Citi. We bring market leading agency execution solutions to our clients across several asset classes and trade types through our Securities Lending, Cash Investments (DAIS), Collateral Management and Optimisation products.
You are a change agent, curious and passionate about data and AI, with a critical focus on delivering business outcomes through data. In this role you will work closely with our Sales, Trading and Product management teams to create executable data-driven insights and strategies that will create value for our clients.
This is a unique role operating at the intersection of product, operations, and technology. Reporting to the Head of Data & AI Product, you will be a key partner in accelerating our ambitious data analytics, commercialization, and AI roadmap. You will not only define the "what" but also drive and engage in the "how," accelerating execution across Trading, Sales, Product, Technology, and Operations partners. Your primary mandate will be to identify and commercialize strategic opportunities for AI to solve critical business problems across Securities Finance, ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise platforms and adherence to the highest standards of policy and governance.
What you’ll do
- Partner and Deliver on the AI Strategy: Identify strategic opportunities for Data & AI to solve critical business problems across Securities Finance. Operate with a commercial mindset to prioritize the most impactful use-cases, define the path to commercialization, and deliver against a defined ROI.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Act as a relentless problem solver, deeply understanding business challenges within the capital markets landscape and translating them into innovative, AI-powered product solutions. Champion creative thinking and explore uncharted territories to accelerate delivery and create differentiation.
- Discovery & Co-creation: Lead intensive discovery phases, collaborating closely with internal business clients, product specialists, operations, and engineering teams to uncover needs, define use cases, and co-create rapid prototypes. Facilitate workshops and design sprints to refine concepts and gather feedback.
- Deep Technical Leadership: Possess a comprehensive understanding of the underlying AI models, scalable infrastructure, data pipelines, and deployment architectures. Work with engineers and architects to guide technical design decisions, ensuring the scalability, performance, and architectural integrity of Generative AI solutions in a regulated financial environment.
- Industrialize & Scale Solutions: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI solutions, from initial prototype to industrial-grade product. Define clear paths to production, ensuring solutions meet enterprise-grade requirements for security, compliance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships and foster seamless collaboration with diverse teams including Data Scientists, AI Researchers, Software Engineers, and Operations within or supporting Investor Services.
- Market & Technology Acumen: Stay abreast of the rapidly evolving Generative AI landscape, including foundation models, tooling, ethical considerations, and competitive offerings. Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions with a specific focus on their application within Securities Finance.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product roadmaps, progress, and impact to executive leadership, business stakeholders, and engineering teams. Manage expectations and navigate trade-offs with transparency
What we’ll need from you
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Professional Experience: Relevant experience across product development, data and AI, with a significant portion focused on AI/ML-driven products and heavy exposure in recent years to Generative AI.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with Python, SQL and production analytics workflows; familiarity with big-data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks; BI tools; APIs and workflow automation would be strong advanced. Demonstrated ability to design, build, and scale complex software systems, including experience with cloud architectures, distributed systems, and modern software development practices. Proven experience in architecting AI/ML solutions with a strong understanding of how to integrate with existing enterprise platforms.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong experience within the Capital Markets domain is highly preferred. Specific experience in Securities Finance (e.g., Agency Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage, Repo, or Collateral Management) is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
- Agile Environments: Experience working in agile product development environments.

- Commercial Acumen: A strong ability to connect technical capabilities to business value, identify commercial opportunities, and drive for impactful results with a focus on ROI.
- Executive Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving technological landscape.
