CityFibre is a London company founded in 2011 that is building an alternative full fibre network across British towns and cities. It sells wholesale access to internet providers rather than serving consumers directly, competing with Openreach. The company has connected millions of premises in one of the largest infrastructure programmes in Britain.

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working with a need to travel to supplier sites and CityFibre locations when required.

As the UK’s largest independent full fibre network and wholesale platform of choice, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Our network is greener, more reliable and designed for the future. The products we run over it lead the way on speed, value and service - helping businesses to innovate, communities to thrive, and people to live more connected digital lives.

At CityFibre, you’ll be part of something bigger, helping to build a better-connected Britain, together.

Joining us as a Purchasing Manager

As a Procurement Manager, you will shape category strategies, influence senior stakeholders and deliver commercial value across a diverse portfolio of Enterprise Indirect goods and services in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment. Categories may include Technology (Hardware, Software/SaaS), Professional Services, HR, Marketing, Finance, Legal and other corporate services spend.

You’ll receive a competitive salary, and a performance related bonus.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Developing category and sourcing strategies
  • Influencing commercial decisions across the business
  • Running end-to-end procurement activities
  • Leading supplier engagement and negotiations
  • Analysing market and supplier performance data
  • Improving procurement processes and governance

What you’ll bring to the role

You'll be an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial, category management and stakeholder engagement skills, gained across multiple Enterprise Indirect spend areas within a complex organisation. Experience across Technology, Professional Services or Corporate Services categories would be particularly valuable.

You’ll also have:

  • Significant procurement and category management experience
  • Experience developing and delivering sourcing strategies across indirect spend categories
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience using commercial data to support decision-making
  • Broad procurement experience across multiple categories, ideally including Technology, Software/SaaS, Professional Services, HR, Legal, Finance, Marketing or Corporate Services
  • Experience operating within a complex, matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders
