Video Editor Intern

Cityfurnish is one of Indias leading furniture and appliance rental platforms, helping individuals and businesses furnish spaces through affordable, flexible, and hassle-free subscription solutions.Founded in 2015 and Backed by Y Combinator and marquee investors including Steve Chen (co-founder, YouTube) and Paul Buchheit (creator of Gmail), were building the operating system for how urban India furnishes homes.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Video Editor Intern who understands internet culture, loves storytelling, and knows how to turn raw footage into content that people stop, watch, and share. This isn’t a traditional editing role. You'll work directly with founders, marketing, and creative teams to build campaigns, ads, social content, and brand stories that drive real business impact.

What you’ll do?

Social & Performance Content

• Create high-quality videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
• Edit ad creatives, product videos, testimonials and brand campaigns.
• Transform raw footage into engaging, high-retention videos with compelling storytelling and pacing.

Post-Production Excellence

• Add transitions, captions, sound effects, music, motion graphics, animations, and visual effects.
• Perform color correction, audio cleanup, and final mastering to ensure premium-quality output.
• Organize footage and maintain a structured editing workflow.
• Ensure brand consistency across all content formats.

Creative Ideation

• Stay on top of trends, memes, editing styles, and viral content formats.
• Collaborate with founders and marketing teams to conceptualize campaigns and storytelling angles.

What are we looking for?

• 0-6 months of of professional video editing experience.
• Experience working with startups, D2C brands, agencies, creators, or content teams is preferred.
• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form and long-form content.

Technical Skills

You should be proficient in:

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• After Effects
• DaVinci Resolve
• CapCut
