The successful candidate will work with government, municipalities, investors, international financial institutions and donor organisations, helping turn recovery priorities and investment opportunities into legally feasible and implementable projects.

The role is suited to a lawyer with experience in real estate, construction or infrastructure who is interested in broader recovery, investment and advisory work.

You will:

  • Analyse Ukrainian and EU legislation relevant to recovery, real estate, construction, infrastructure, land, spatial planning and investment.
  • Conduct legal due diligence of land, real estate, infrastructure assets and investment projects.
  • Identify legal, regulatory and institutional risks and propose practical solutions.
  • Prepare legal memoranda, briefing notes, analytical papers and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the legal and institutional structuring of recovery, real estate, infrastructure and investment projects.
  • Contribute to public-private cooperation arrangements where relevant.
  • Assess projects from the perspective of legal feasibility, governance, land and asset status, permitting and implementation risks.
  • Prepare project concepts, terms of reference, project fiches, proposals and presentations.
  • Support investment project pipelines, including the Single Project Pipeline and donor or IFI mechanisms.
  • Contribute to legislative and policy proposals on recovery, reconstruction, construction, infrastructure, real estate and investment.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, public authorities, municipalities, investors, IFIs and donors.
  • Work with financial, technical, engineering, urban planning and sectoral experts.
  • Coordinate external legal and specialised advisers where required.
  • Monitor relevant legislative, policy and funding developments in Ukraine and the EU.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law and qualification as a lawyer.
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in real estate, land, construction, infrastructure, urban development, investment projects or corporate legal matters.
  • Experience in a law firm, Big Four firm, advisory company, IFI, donor-funded programme, government body, municipal institution, public authority or another relevant organisation.
  • Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in legal due diligence of projects or assets.
  • Ability to understand the commercial, financial and institutional aspects of projects.
  • Ability to turn complex legal matters into clear and practical recommendations.
  • Ability to prepare decision-oriented materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and spoken Ukrainian and English.
  • High level of autonomy, professional judgement and attention to detail.
