As a Clinical Scientist, you will serve as a trusted scientific partner to sponsors, investigative sites, and internal stakeholders, with a primary focus on Alzheimer's disease (AD), dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorder clinical research programs. You will ensure the successful delivery of scientific services across global clinical trials while providing expert guidance on cognitive endpoints, clinical outcome assessments, and rater quality initiatives supporting innovative therapies for patients affected by neurodegenerative diseases.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary scientific contact for assigned international clinical trials, providing scientific leadership and expertise to sponsors, investigative sites, and internal stakeholders.

  • Co-lead study execution alongside Project Management teams, ensuring scientific integrity, operational excellence, and successful project delivery.

  • Participate in and lead sponsor meetings, investigator meetings, scientific discussions, and cross-functional project reviews.

  • Monitor study performance metrics and develop meaningful analyses, dashboards, and reports highlighting trends, risks, outliers, and mitigation strategies.

  • Identify and resolve clinical quality, endpoint quality, and data integrity issues in accordance with study requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Develop and deliver rater training, calibration activities, and remediation programs aligned with study-specific requirements.

  • Provide scientific consultation and support regarding clinical outcome assessments, cognitive and functional endpoints used in Alzheimer's disease and dementia research, study design considerations, endpoint strategy, and protocol implementation.

  • Provide therapeutic-area expertise in Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and related neurodegenerative disorders, supporting study design, endpoint strategy, rater training, data quality review, and sponsor consultations.

  • Respond to sponsor inquiries related to scoring methodologies, endpoint quality, scientific interpretation, and study conduct.

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure project milestones, deliverables, and scientific objectives are achieved.

  • Support the development and review of study materials, including electronic forms, training content, endpoint documentation, scale verification activities, and scientific guidance materials.

  • Contribute scientific expertise to feasibility assessments, proposal development, and business development activities.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, investigators, consultants, key opinion leaders, and clinical research professionals.

  • Participate in scientific research initiatives and contribute to publications, conference presentations, and other scientific dissemination activities.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and operational processes.

  • Maintain awareness of evolving industry trends, clinical research methodologies, regulatory requirements, and therapeutic area advancements relevant to assigned studies.

What We Look For

  • Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Psychology, Neuroscience, Clinical Research, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the clinical research industry, preferably within a CRO, biopharmaceutical, healthcare, or related environment.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Clinical Scientist, Clinical Trial Science Lead, Medical Science, or other client-facing scientific role.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting the administration, training, or oversight of clinical outcome assessments, rating scales, or study endpoints.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and/or other neurodegenerative disorders through clinical research, therapeutic area specialization, patient population experience, endpoint development, or scientific leadership.

  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical trial methodology, study execution, scientific principles, and endpoint quality management, including cognitive and functional outcome measures commonly utilized in AD and dementia clinical research.

  • Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and clinical research regulations.

  • Understanding of research methods, data interpretation, and applied statistics.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple studies, priorities, and stakeholder relationships in a dynamic global environment.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to sponsors, investigators, and large audiences.

  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately 10-20% as business needs require.

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
