Sr Engineer, R&D Software Engineering

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET microservices and Angular-based front-end applications.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs while writing efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS, including services such as Amazon EKS, following best practices for reliability and scalability.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute innovative solutions that balance quality, performance, and delivery timelines.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to support software quality and continuous improvement.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand architectural decisions and implement solutions aligned with system design principles.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for application features, designs, and operational processes.
• Leverage AI coding assistance tools, including GitHub Copilot and Tabnine, to improve development efficiency and code quality.
• Partner closely with Product, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate actively in Agile or SAFe ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in C#/.NET application development.
• Working knowledge of Angular and modern front-end development practices.
• Experience developing and deploying applications within AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design principles, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud-native application architectures and modern software development practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and deliver effective solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within Agile development teams.
• Experience using or willingness to adopt AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows.
• Exposure to regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or financial services is preferred.
