As a Department Dispatcher, you’llbe a key point of communication, receiving and coordinating requests, prioritizing needs, and connecting them with the appropriate resources. Your friendly, courteous, and compassionate approach will help ensure every interaction is handled with care and efficiency.

With a clear development path from Dispatcher to EVS Lead to Supervisor, team members can gain hands-on experience, strengthen their skills, and explore opportunities for internal advancement based on performance and experience.
A caregiver in this position works 11:00pm-7:30am (3rd shift). Every third weekend (full weekend). Every third holiday.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Conduct friendly, courteous, compassionateand helpful communications with customers.
Dispatch requests in a timely mannerand communicate status updates/delays to customers.
Receive and log requests through applicable software/tracking.
Other duties as assigned.
Answer and managedepartment phone calls.
Monitor EPIC (hospital tracking system) and Vovlo(housekeeping request system).
Assign and verify housekeeping dispatches (ensuring one task per housekeeper at a time).
Update hourly reports sent via Teams and email.
Manage pest control requests and follow-ups.
Coordinateand monitorroom turnaround post-patient discharge.
Call Apex for updates when needed.
Communicateacross departments (e.g., with nursesfor non-housekeeping requests).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of customer service experience in a role that requires exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers over the phone for most ofthe day
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Previousexperience in a high-volumecall center or dispatch facility
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to move/transport items weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.)
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
