The Patient Guest ServicesAssistant I,servesasa highly visible brand ambassador and resource to patients, familymembersand visitors byfacilitatinga warm, caring,comfortableand informed experience at Main Campus.

A caregiver in this positionworksvariableday/evening/night/weekendshifts,7:00am-7:30pmor 9:00am-6:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Ensure patients, family members and visitors have peace of mind byutilizingthe Communicate with H.E.A.R.T. models, setting expectations and delivering empathetic care.

• Greet,welcomeandassistpatients, guests, and colleagues by aiding, providing campus directions, obtainingwheelchairsand providing minimal transport.

• Access patient information to confirm appointment times, appointment locations and room numbers.

• Provide some concierge services toassistpatients and guests with accessing Internet information (driving directions, restaurants, shopping, and amenities) in the hospital and within the community.

• Collaborate with leaders across the health system to design and implement improvement programs to enhance the overall patient experience.

• Correct and/orreportsafety, maintenance, and cleaning needs.

• Respond to Code Blue and CodeRedemergencies withappropriate equipment.

• Coordinate patient needs with other departments.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• HighSchoolDiploma or GED

• Basic computer skills(e.g.,Epic, outlook, and other internal systems)

• Two yearsofexperience in a customer service role with at least one year providing face-to-face customer service

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Associate’sDegree

Physical Requirements:

• Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
