Join the Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Weston Family Health Center and become a part of one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. Weston Family Health Center provides the communities in and around Weston with top-quality preventative health care, management of chronic conditions, and more.

As a Research Coordinator II for the Weston Cancer Research Group, you will coordinate the compliant implementation and conduct of human subject research projects of medium workload and complexity. In this role, you will support clinical trials through study start-up, administrative activities and patient visits, with each day offering new opportunities to contribute to cancer research. Your work will help provide patients with access to potential new treatment options when standard options may be limited.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

After six months, this position transitions to a hybrid schedule, with the option to work from home one day per week, depending on business needs.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Coordinate the implementation and conduct of research projects ensuring adherence to research protocol requirements including: timely completion and communication of regulatory documents, the development of data capture and monitoring plans, reporting of Serious Adverse Events as they occur and completion of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and sponsor forms in accordance with GCP timelines.

  • Serve as a liaison between investigators, research personnel, outside study personnel and central research administration offices to assist in protocol interpretation, enrollment and safety questions.

  • Collaborate with primary investigators, sponsors and research staff to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols, including research subject recruitment.

  • Monitor and report project status.

  • Complete regulatory documents, data capture and monitoring plans.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of research protocol to coordinate the comprehensive and compliant execution of assigned protocols.

  • Assist with preparation for audits and response to audits.

  • Maintain professional relationships, including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external constituents.

  • Assist with the development of training and educational material for assigned research protocols.

  • Provide and document education as needed.

  • Conduct and document the informed consent process.

  • May assist with research project budget development.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Three years of clinical research experience

  • OR Bachelor's degree in healthcare or science fieldand one year of clinical research experience

  • Demonstrated basic computer proficiency

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Within 90 days of hire, must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's degree in health care or science related field

  • Oncology and/or research experience

  • Med-surg or ICU background

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • In some locations, ability to move up to 25 pounds
