Role Purpose
The Finance Analyst is a vital role within the APAC finance team based in the Philippines, focusing on elevating monthly financial reporting processes and data extraction. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and optimize large volumes of financial data, delivering timely and organized reports that drive valuable insights for regional leadership. By ensuring accuracy and consistency across reporting cycles, the analyst empowers finance stakeholders with key business intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
Decision Making & Scope
- APAC Region, based in the Philippines.
- Key Stakeholders: Regional finance leaders, APAC business partners, and global FP&A colleagues.
- High level of independence in executing monthly data extraction, cleansing, and recurring reporting.
- Financial Accountability: Individual contributor; no direct budget management but responsible for the integrity of APAC reporting data.
- Directly affects the accuracy of regional reporting and financial insights used for strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, consolidate, and sanitize large financial datasets from multiple systems monthly.
- Design, build, and deliver structured, timely, and precise monthly financial reports for APAC.
- Maintain rigorous data quality controls to ensure total alignment across reporting cycles.
- Partner with finance leaders to translate complex raw data into clear, strategic business insights.
- Optimize existing report templates and workflows within Microsoft Excel to maximize efficiency.
- Develop and maintain visual financial dashboards in Tableau to engage stakeholders.
- Identify trends, data anomalies, and process bottlenecks proactively, proposing improvements.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and support regional projects for the APAC FP&A function.
- Collaborate with the global FP&A team to adopt, share, and establish best-practice standards.

- On-time delivery of monthly reporting cycles with flawless data integrity.
- Taking the initiative to identify data inconsistencies, trends, and business opportunities early.
- Providing highly actionable reports and maintaining strong feedback from APAC finance leaders.
- Successfully automating, simplifying, and optimizing existing reporting flows.
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced spreadsheet modeling, formulas, pivot tables, and data cleansing.
- Hands-on capability in Tableau for building and interpreting financial dashboards.
- Highly developed analytical mind to process complex data and spot business trends.
- Strong verbal and written communication to translate figures into business stories.
- Excellent time management to run monthly operational cycles independently.

Experience
- Typically 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Business Intelligence.
- Strong track record of successfully managing and transforming large, complex datasets.
- Prior finance experience in the technology, software, or telecommunications sector is highly advantageous.
- Experience owning and delivering structured monthly reporting outputs independently.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- Professional certifications (such as CPA, CMA, or Tableau/Data Analytics certifications) are preferred but not essential.
