What You'll Do
- Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable function
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Scan, index, and code invoices
- Record expense details timely
- Obtain accurate approval for payment
- Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Monitor workflows
- Work with approvers to ensure payments are not delayed
- Review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy
- Interacting with Internal and external clients to resolve issues
- Handling escalated vendor situations
- Statement Review
- Provide answers to all internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Develop and assist with departmental process improvements
- Ad-hoc other duties as required and necessary to support the business
What You’ll Bring
Essential Qualifications:
- Prefer 3 years of experience in a high-volume environment
- Prefer an Associate degree in Accounting (will accept 2 additional years of experience in lieu of)
- Experience in a manufacturing business
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of reports
- Must work well in a high paced team environment
- Intermediate to advanced level experience with Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Self-starter able to influence, coach, and persuade at the highest levels of the business
- Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism
