The Role

What You'll Do
Lead and grow a world-class Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) team, partnering with plant leadership to drive world-class performance. You will:
- Coach and develop EH&S team members while collaborating with leaders at every level, from senior leadership to front-line employees
- Track key performance indicators and lead continuous improvement efforts across the business unit
- Build EH&S strategies that align with corporate goals and reduce operational risk
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EH&S regulations through strong processes and accurate reporting
- Conduct regular observations, inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and eliminate workplace hazards
- Manage hazardous chemicals and lead efforts to prevent environmental pollution
- Oversee regulatory documentation, recordkeeping, and permitting to meet all deadlines
- Lead incident response and investigation, driving corrective and preventive actions through practical engineering solutions
- Oversee workplace injury cases in line with workers' compensation practices and the transitional return-to-work program
- Deliver EH&S training, including new hire orientation and contractor communication
What You’ll Bring
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree; preferably in EH&S, or related field. Master’s degree in EH&S a plus
- 10+ years’ experience in safety management role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA Regulations, DOT Regulations and Management Systems. Experience with Process Safety and Risk Management programs.
- Experience developing, managing, and implementing worker’s compensation claims management programs
- Experience leading/coaching teams in the improvement of business processes and operational performance.
