Position Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists Maintenance II employees with troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems that incorporate pneumatic, digital and central energy management system controls.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environment practices.
• Communicates status of various work orders, work in progress, supply balances and observed problem areas to supervisor, and requests inventory parts and supplies.
• Performs routine maintenance on facilities, which includes basic repair, replacing light fixtures and filters, hanging white boards and other general duties; and assists in completing checklists on building equipment and maintenance.
• Performs routine renovation duties, which includes painting, graffiti clean-up, replacing or repairing drywall and ceiling tiles and tile and baseboard removal or installation
• Assists in wall removal, wall framing with wood and metal studs, sheet rocking, taping, texturing and painting as needed
• Assists with door hanging, glass replacement, concrete pouring and stucco application as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED AND one (1) year of related experience
• AND
• Successful completion of Commercial HVAC Certification and EPA Certification within 6 months of employment
• Upon successful completion of HVAC and EPA Certification and two (2) years of related experience, Maintenance I employees are automatically considered for reassignment into a Maintenance II position
• This position requires a valid unrestricted New Mexico Driver's License
