Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Developer

We're looking for a Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Developer to join our Platform & Development department. You'll take ownership of frontend development across our SaaS products, working closely with developers, QA, Product, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable software used by customers across the shipping industry.

Our stack centres on Next.js, React, Typescript and Vercel, backed by Azure and .NET Standard services, with Mapbox and tilesets powering our geospatial visualizations. We're an AI-fluent team - you'll be expected to use AI-assisted tools as part of how you work, not just be curious about them.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain modern frontend applications with React and Next.js.
• Build interactive maps and geospatial visualizations using Mapbox and tilesets.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs, including .NET Standard services - with room to grow into full-stack work overtime.
• Contribute to modernizing our existing architecture, with an eye on maintainability, scalability, and security.
• Own features end-to-end: from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and monitoring (via tools like Monitive).
• Use GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control, code review, and CI/CD.
• Use AI-assisted development tools day-to-day to improve code quality, testing, and delivery speed.
• Share knowledge, raise technical risks early, and help shape how the team works.

What you bring

Must have

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend and production software used by real customers.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Solid grasp of frontend architecture: component design, state management, responsive UIs.
• Experience integrating frontend apps with REST APIs and backend services.
• Comfortable with Git/GitHub, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Genuinely AI-fluent: you already use AI coding tools and understand their limits, not just open to trying them.
• Clear communicator - able to explain technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have (we'll teach the rest)

• Experience with Mapbox, tilesets, or geospatial data - no prior background required if you're keen to learn.
• Exposure to Vercel deployment workflows.
• Comfort working in Azure-based environments.
• .NET Standard experience, or interest in growing into full-stack work.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools such as Monitive.
