Engineering Manager (mobile app team)

We're looking for an Engineering Manager who is passionate about both people and technology. In this role, you'll help build and scale our platforms, drive technical excellence, and grow a collaborative, high-performing engineering team.

What you'll do

• Lead a team of full-stack mobile engineers, driving successful delivery of product and technical initiatives while balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability
• Recruit, develop, and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performing team and supporting their career growth
• Take ownership of one or more key systems at Coda, driving their technical direction and shaping an ambitious roadmap with your team
• Guide the team with prioritazation, resolving complex technical challenges, and adopting best practices
• Oversee project timelines and deliverables. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently and projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Collaborate with Product and cross-functional teams to align on goals, define priorities, drive execution from OKRs to day-to-day delivery, and communicate progress, risks, and technical direction
• Oversee the utilisation of modern platforms and technologies, ensuring they are leveraged effectively to maximise the value the engineering teams deliver.

Our Tech Stack: AWS, React Native, NestJS, GraphQL, Typescript, Gitlab, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DBT, Playwright, Postman, Jest, etc.

What you have

• Passion for building great products and solving complex engineering challenges
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or similar)
• Strong hands-on experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production systems, with the ability to write and review high-quality code
• Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, data technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, message queues), and cloud platforms such as AWS
• Data driven mindset with the ability to analyze information, make informed decisions, and continuously improve team productivity in an agile environment
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and people leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across both technical and non-technical teams
• Curious and adaptable, with a willingness to learn new technologies. Experience with security, cryptography, or machine learning is a plus.
