QA Tester Banking

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to develop effective test strategies and test scenarios.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans for banking and financial services applications.
• Perform manual testing, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Katalon, or other automation frameworks.
• Perform API testing to validate functionality, data integrity, and system integration using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Identify, document, track, and report software defects, and collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct retesting and regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure application stability.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies or follow the applicable Waterfall development process.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test execution reports, defect logs, and test summary reports.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes, automation coverage, and overall software quality.
• Ensure that applications meet business requirements, quality standards, and applicable banking or financial services requirements before release.
• Willing to work on a 3-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension.
• Willing to join as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a QA Manual
• Proven experience in testing banking or financial services applications (e.g., mobile banking, internet banking, core banking, lending systems)
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Hands-on experience in manual testing (functional, regression, integration, UAT support)
• Experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Katalon, or similar frameworks
• Familiar with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
• Basic knowledge of programming/scripting (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript)
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies
• Familiar with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
