Associate Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant to develop their expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central while working alongside experienced consultants on a variety of client projects.

In this client-facing role, you will support the delivery of Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, assisting throughout the project lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution configuration through to testing, user training, go-live support, and post-implementation activities. You will collaborate closely with customers, project managers, senior consultants, and technical teams to help deliver solutions that align with client business objectives while developing your functional consulting and business process knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Support the delivery of Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects under the guidance of Senior and Lead Consultants.
• Assist with requirements gathering, business process analysis, and process mapping activities.
• Support solution configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live activities.
• Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of functional specifications and project documentation.
• Assist in executing System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Provide post-implementation support and assist in resolving customer issues and queries.
• Escalate complex issues and risks to senior team members where appropriate.

Customer Engagement

• Participate in customer workshops, discovery sessions, and project meetings.
• Build positive and professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support the delivery of user training sessions and preparation of training materials.
• Assist with demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities where required.
• Communicate project updates and progress effectively to team members and customers.

Solution Development

• Develop an understanding of customer business processes and how they align with Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality.
• Support solution design activities by documenting business requirements and recommending standard system functionality.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
• Contribute to solution documentation, configuration records, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with consultants, developers, project managers, and customer stakeholders.
• Contribute positively to a supportive and knowledge-sharing team environment.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery to a high standard.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Codec methodologies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, decisions, testing outcomes, and customer communications.
• Assist in identifying project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

Continuous Learning

• Continuously develop knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and related Microsoft technologies.
• Stay informed about new product features, industry trends, and best practices.
• Work towards relevant Microsoft certifications and professional development goals.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Strong interest in finance, business processes, ERP systems, and technology consulting.
• Exposure to business systems, ERP applications, or digital transformation projects through work experience, internships, placements, or graduate programmes.
• Understanding of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, training, and go-live activities.
• 1- 2 years' experience working with Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, or similar ERP/business applications.
• Basic functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or NAV.
• Exposure to one or more of the following functional areas:

  • Accounts Receivable (AR/O2C)
  • Workflows

Highly Desirable Skills & Experience

• Exposure to Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV through academic projects, internships, placements, or professional experience.
• Knowledge of:

  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
• Experience supporting customer workshops, demonstrations, training sessions, or project activities.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications, or a willingness to work towards certification.
• Degree or qualification in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Technology, or a related discipline.
