Snowflake/Semarchy MDM Implementation Consultant

About the Role :
We are looking for a Semarchy MDM specialist to help implement and support a Master Data Management solution built on Semarchy's Unified Data Platform (Semarchy xDM and xDI) running natively on Snowflake. This role will work hands-on with data stewards, data engineers, and business stakeholders to design, configure, and deploy match/merge, governance, and data quality workflows, and to build integrations that move data reliably between Snowflake and downstream systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Configure and extend Semarchy xDM data models, entity views, match/merge rules, survivorship rules, and validation workflows for master data domains (e.g., customer, supplier, product, item).
- Design and build data integration jobs in Semarchy xDI to load, cleanse, and synchronize data between Snowflake and source/target systems.
- Deploy and configure Semarchy xDM as a Snowflake Native App, including roles, warehouses, and data sharing setup within the Snowflake ecosystem.
- Develop and tune Snowflake SQL (tables, views, stored procedures, tasks/streams) to support MDM staging, publication, and reporting layers.
- Partner with data governance and business teams to translate stewardship and data quality requirements into Semarchy configuration.
- Build and maintain data quality rules, deduplication logic, and hierarchy/relationship management within xDM.
- Support UAT, defect triage, performance tuning, and go-live cutover activities for MDM releases.
- Document data models, mapping specifications, and operational runbooks for the Semarchy/Snowflake environment.
- Collaborate with the internal data engineering team to align MDM outputs with the broader Snowflake data platform architecture.
Required Qualifications :
- 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing or supporting Semarchy MDM (xDM), including data model design and match/merge configuration.
- Working experience with Semarchy xDI (or equivalent ETL/ELT tooling) for building data integration pipelines.
- Practical experience with Snowflake, including SQL development, warehouse/role management, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of MDM concepts : golden record management, survivorship, data stewardship workflows, and data quality/governance principles.
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets across multiple source systems.
- Ability to work independently in a contract capacity, manage timelines, and communicate progress clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience deploying Semarchy xDM as a Snowflake Native App (Snowflake Marketplace deployment model).
- Familiarity with procurement, supplier, or product master data domains.
- Experience with cloud data platform integrations (e.g., Snowflake tasks/streams, Fivetran, dbt, or similar orchestration tools).
- Semarchy certification(s) or formal MDM/data governance training.
- Prior experience in consulting or short-term contract engagement delivering MDM implementations.
