Full Stack Java Developer

About the role

As aFull Stack Java Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React technologies. You will be a valued member of the application development team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams to build high-quality digital solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and related technologies.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices that support business-critical applications.
• Perform hands-on coding, debugging, testing, code reviews, and application performance optimization.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to support successful project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Irving, Texas. What you need to have to be considered

• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong hands-on experience building full-stack solutions using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and code quality skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Experience implementing AI chatbot, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or Generative AI solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with distributed teams.

These will help you stand out

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments.
• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
• Experience mentoring and leading technical discussions.
• Understanding of application security, scalability, and performance best practices.
