As a Frontend Software Engineer on the Financial Services & Loyalty team within the Consumer & Business group, you'll build and ship the user-facing experiences that power Coinbase's card, payments, and loyalty products for millions of customers. This team owns the end-to-end frontend for products like the Coinbase One credit card, crypto-back rewards, and consumer payment flows. You'll own features from technical design through production release, working closely with product, design, and backend engineering to deliver fast, reliable, and intuitive experiences that drive activation and retention.

What you'll do:

• Own end-to-end frontend development across web and mobile for financial services products using React and React Native, including card onboarding, rewards, transactions, and payment flows.
• Build new features that expand the value proposition of Coinbase's loyalty and card products, shipping high-quality code that directly impacts customer engagement and revenue.
• Drive experimentation and funnel optimization efforts that measurably improve conversion, activation, and retention across key user journeys.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and backend engineering to translate requirements into polished, performant frontend experiences.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance bottlenecks, contributing to measurable improvements in CUJ latency and availability SLOs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on frontend development using React and React Native.
• Demonstrated track record of owning features end to end, from technical design through implementation, testing, and production release.
• Experience with experimentation frameworks and funnel optimization, with the ability to instrument, measure, and iterate on user-facing flows.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and backend engineering teams to deliver features on time and at high quality.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):

$247,737—$247,737 CAD
