Future Experiences & Growth Capability is a newly established and rapidly evolving group focused on some of the biggest growth opportunities across CommBank’s Cards, Payments and Consumer Finance businesses.

Our team brings together diverse expertise to uncover opportunities that create customer value and sustainable business growth. We were created to tackle some of the most important questions in payments and consumer finance: how we create more relevant customer experiences, identify new growth opportunities and build stronger connections between customers, merchants and payment experiences.

We partner closely with Product, Analytics, Marketing, Digital, Risk, Data Science and Merchant Acquisition teams to influence decisions from concept through to execution. We work in a highly collaborative environment where curiosity is valued, assumptions are challenged and great ideas can come from anywhere.

The problems we tackle are often complex and ambiguous, requiring a combination of analytical rigour, commercial thinking and customer obsession. You’ll be surrounded by people who are passionate about understanding customer behaviour, using data to tell compelling stories and turning insights into action.

Your Impact and Contribution

We’re building the capability, culture and analytical excellence needed to help shape the future of payments and consumer finance at CommBank.

As a Senior Analyst, you’ll combine advanced customer analytics, predictive modelling and commercial thinking to shape product decisions and customer growth strategies. Working across Product, Marketing and Commercial teams, you’ll:

• Develop propensity and predictive models that identify customer opportunities and translate analytical outputs into measurable customer and commercial outcomes.

• Uncover customer growth opportunities by analysing spend, engagement, product usage and payment behaviours across acquisition, activation, loyalty and retention.

• Build high-value customer segments and audiences using behavioural, lifecycle and propensity-based approaches to support acquisition, cross-sell, engagement and retention.

• Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform new products, propositions, experiences and commercial partnerships.

• Measure what works through campaign, product and proposition evaluation, including conversion, incremental uplift, experimentation and ROI.

• Operationalise analytics and models by partnering with Data Science and Technology teams to support deployment, monitoring and ongoing model performance.

• Bring the customer story to life through compelling, executive-ready insights, dashboards and recommendations that influence decisions across the organisation.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll be a curious, commercially minded customer analytics professional who can move confidently from exploratory analysis through to predictive modelling, activation and measurement. You’ll bring:

• Strong customer analytics experience, using customer, transaction and behavioural data to uncover insights, identify opportunities and influence business decisions.

• Advanced SQL and Python skills, with experience analysing large and complex datasets and developing reusable analytical solutions.

• Hands-on experience developing propensity and predictive models, including feature engineering, model selection, validation and performance monitoring.

• Practical knowledge of MLOps and model lifecycle management, with experience supporting the deployment, productionisation and monitoring of analytical or machine learning models.

• Experience in customer segmentation and targeting, including behavioural segmentation, audience development, lifecycle analytics and model-led targeting.

• Strong measurement and experimentation capability, including A/B testing, uplift analysis, campaign effectiveness, incremental impact and ROI.

• Commercial acumen and strong data storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex analytical outputs into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

• A collaborative, test-and-learn mindset, with experience working across Product, Marketing, Data Science, Technology and Commercial teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
