As a Senior Associate Data Scientist, you will contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that address complex business problems. Working with guidance from senior data scientists, you will explore diverse data sources, develop analytical approaches and help translate technical findings into clear recommendations.

This is an opportunity to broaden your experience across the data science lifecycle. You will gain practical exposure to machine learning, statistical analysis, generative AI, model development practices and cloud computing while contributing to work that supports better outcomes for customers and colleagues.

In this role, you will:

• Collect, clean and prepare complex datasets, undertaking statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis across diverse sources.
• Contribute to the design and development of machine learning models and statistical techniques that solve defined business problems.
• Complete activities associated with developing, testing and reviewing models as part of established machine learning operations practices, supported by senior team members.
• Use generative AI tools to assist with coding and prompt development, combining AI-generated results with human judgement and review.
• Recognise autonomous system behaviours and ethical considerations relating to agentic AI, and contribute to the adoption of responsible practices.
• Apply coding standards and practical cloud computing experience when deploying and managing applications and implementing basic cloud security measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop data science solutions and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will bring a combination of practical analytical capability, curiosity and a collaborative approach, including:

• Experience preparing and exploring complex datasets using statistical and data analysis techniques.
• Practical coding capability and an understanding of maintainable, high-quality coding standards.
• Experience contributing to machine learning models or statistical solutions.
• Familiarity with model development, model review or machine learning operations practices.
• Exposure to generative AI tools, prompt development and the responsible review of AI-generated outputs.
• Awareness of agentic AI concepts, autonomous system behaviours and relevant ethical considerations.
• Practical exposure to cloud computing, application deployment and cloud security fundamentals.
• The ability to explain technical concepts, findings and recommendations clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach to working with senior data scientists, technical specialists and cross-functional teams.
