Group Tax Manager

Job Description:

• Provide strategic tax input on commercial transactions, operating models, restructures, tenders, and expansion activities
• Advise on international tax matters, transfer pricing, VAT, indirect taxes, and withholding tax implications across multiple jurisdictions
• Review cross-border transaction structures and identify tax risks, opportunities, and practical solutions
• Coordinate and manage external tax advisors and in-country consultants to ensure effective delivery of tax services
• Maintain oversight of group-wide tax compliance obligations and filing deadlines across jurisdictions
• Support transfer pricing policy implementation, documentation, and intercompany arrangements
• Review tax implications of customer and supplier contracts before implementation
• Assist with tax reporting, tax risk management, audits, and tax authority engagements
• Build strong relationships with executive leadership, finance teams, legal teams, and external stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement of tax governance, controls, and related processes

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant tax experience within a multinational, consulting, or multi-jurisdictional environment
• Proven exposure to international tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax, and VAT across multiple countries
• Experience coordinating external advisors and managing cross-border tax matters
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical tax concepts into practical business recommendations
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Self-driven, proactive individual comfortable operating independently in a specialist function
• Exposure to African and/or Middle Eastern jurisdictions will be highly advantageous

Qualification:

• Honours Degree in Taxation, Finance, Accounting OR Equivalent is essential
• Master's Degree in Taxation - highly advantageous
