Junior Accountant

Job Description:

• Perform bank, credit card, petty cash, deposit, and control account reconciliations
• Manage debtor accounts and ensure adherence to debtor management policies
• Prepare age analysis reports and monitor outstanding accounts
• Facilitate payment arrangements in line with company policy
• Process and reconcile supplier accounts and monthly accruals
• Prepare and post journals and provisions
• Assist with monthly payment runs and cash flow-related activities
• Manage stock processing and reconciliations
• Maintain and prepare monthly audit files
• Ensure all financial deadlines are achieved timeously
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in hospitality, property, accommodation, or service-driven environment
• Strong reconciliations and debtors’ management experience
• Experience working on cloud-based accounting systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Own reliable transport and valid driver's license - advantageous

Qualification:

• Completed bachelor’s degree in accounting OR Equivalent
