Job Description:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment
  • Attend to machine breakdowns and restore equipment to operation as efficiently as possible
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential mechanical and electrical faults
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical problems
  • Carry out repairs and ensure equipment remains reliable and operational
  • Perform basic electrical wiring and fault-finding on machinery
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical control circuits
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and support operational requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance function
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with practical maintenance experience
  • Experience with preventative maintenance and production machinery breakdowns
  • Basic electrical wiring and fault-finding capabilities
  • Ability to diagnose and repair basic electrical control circuits
  • Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting production equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to respond effectively to breakdowns and time-sensitive maintenance requirements
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong focus on equipment reliability and minimising production downtime
  • Good health and safety awareness
Qualification:
  • Trade qualification as a Millwright, Electro-Mechanical Technician, or similar
  • N3 / N4 Electrical training
