SAICA Trainee Clerk

Job Description:

• Assist with audit fieldwork and engagements
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation
• Assist with financial statement preparation and related accounting work
• Work closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and fellow Trainee Clerks
• Support junior team members during audit engagements where required
• Liaise professionally with clients and respond to audit queries
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Develop practical audit and accounting experience in line with SAICA training requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Candidates should be pursuing or intending to complete a SAICA traineeship
• Previous audit or accounting experience will be advantageous for candidates already completing their articles
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Candidates at different stages of their SAICA training will be considered

Qualification:

• Relevant SAICA-accredited accounting qualification, completed or in progress
