CompuNet is looking for an Associate Project Manager to direct the successful delivery of Cybersecurity projects, ensuring work aligns with customer expectations, project goals, and CompuNet’s standards.  

As an Associate Project Manager, you will work with a diverse set of stakeholders - including internal teams and external partners - while owning the key responsibilities of project kick off and closeout, project supervision, proactive communication, fulfillment of project milestones, and financial tracking. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and skilled at balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

The Associate Project Manager for Cybersecurity will report to the Senior Manager of Project Management and work closely with Sales, Engineering, Service Portfolio, Partner Enablement, and Operations roles to ensure the successful delivery of projects. As demand for this role increases, opportunities for growth may include a promotion to Project Manager or expansion into other specializations to meet customer demand. 

Project Coordination 

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills by effectively coordinating and monitoring multiple projects across a diverse set of customers, industries, and geographies. 

• Complete recurring project coordination activities, including the ability to: 

• Schedule internal and customer-facing project kickoff meetings. 

• Track project scope, budget, forecasted and confirmed schedules, and the status of deliverables (or outcomes) against a Statement or Work (SOW) or written contract. 

• Maintain steady communication flows and collaborate with CompuNet teams and customers to ensure projects stay on track. 

• Communication flows may include participation in status meetings, the development of meeting summaries or written status reports, proactively communicating risks, etc. 

• Update project records (data fields) in ConnectWise as projects progress. 

• Reconcile and initiate customer invoices, for full or progress billing, throughout the engagement. Close project phases in ConnectWise as appropriate. 

• Manage customer-requested changes to a project’s scope - facilitating completion of change orders as appropriate. 

• Monitor customers’ satisfaction. Escalate any issues or early warning signs of dissatisfaction to the Account Executive and Service Delivery. 

• Ensure predictable, consistent, and high-quality project delivery in accordance with industry best practices. 

• Proactively engage with Service Delivery for each region and their respective markets, providing high level updates on project progress, timeline, and issues impacting project health.  

• Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Program Lead on complex projects, helping extend portfolio capacity while maintaining consistent coordination, communication, and delivery standards. 

Contract Administration & Quality Control  

• Track agreements throughout the escalation process, engage Cybersecurity and Regional Leadership teams to ensure timely resolution and delivery.  

• Ensure customer access to the document repository of in-progress and final deliverables. 

• Facilitate a process that confirms the customer’s acceptance of any ‘final’ deliverables or outcomes. 

• Prior to each project closing, audit the SOW and any supplementary agreements or change orders to ensure all deliverables have been received, accepted by customer, and performance by members of the project team falls within defined parameters. 

• Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and improve project delivery processes.  

Travel Expectations 

• Occasional travel may be required to visit project sites or CompuNet offices. 

Education & Experience 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, information technology, or 4+ years of work experience. 

• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience as a Project Coordinator, Associate Project Manager or similar role focused on customer service and the facilitation of customer outcomes. 

• Experience with contract administration, invoicing, and general accounting practices (AP/AR). 

• Preferred Experience 

• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent project management certification. 

• Career experience tracking and managing projects with a duration of 3 to 12 months. 

• Career experience working with information technology roles and teams. 

• Knowledge of vendor management practices, including the ability to enforce contract terms and adherence to service level agreements. 

• Career experience in a position with detailed time accounting and billable utilization requirements.

• User of ConnectWise Manage - able to effectively navigate and work within ConnectWise Manage for the purpose of project set-up, tracking, closeout, and general data management. 

• Thinks Ahead - communicates ideas to improve processes and procedures with a positive and constructive attitude. 

• Cybersecurity & Risk Awareness - demonstrates a working understanding of cybersecurity terminology, frameworks, products, processes, services, and solutions, with exposure to risk management and risk mitigation practices. 

• Independent Learner - willing and able to quickly learn and adapt to new industry concepts, processes, tools, and technologies.
