Computacenter is a major British multinational IT infrastructure services provider and technology solutions company headquartered in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. Founded in 1981 by Philip Hulme and Peter Ogden, the FTSE 100 constituent operates on a hybrid B2B/B2G technology reseller, systems integration, professional advisory, and managed IT services commercial model, generating multi-billion pound revenues across Europe and North America.

About the role

Rack-build and / or physical-architecture experience are key requirements, including an understanding of data center solutions.

The Senior Project Manager leads customer deployment projects from initiation through delivery and closure. Depending on the size and structure of the engagement, the Senior Project Manager may serve as the primary customer contact or work under the direction of a Program Manager who owns the broader customer relationship. The Senior Project Manager owns project-level planning, fulfillment oversight, production and shipping readiness, budget and schedule management, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, and confirmation of successful delivery. Working across customers, Sales, engineering, production and integration, logistics, Resource Management, and other delivery functions, the Senior Project Manager establishes project direction, drives accountability, and ensures customer commitments are understood and actively managed. This is a highly customer-facing role requiring strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and data center deployment environments, disciplined project management, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple complex customer deployments with competing priorities and dependencies. The role has no direct reports but leads cross-functional project teams through influence, sound judgment, and disciplined execution.

Annual Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000

What you'll be doing

  • Lead assigned customer projects from initiation through delivery and closure, maintaining alignment on scope, schedule, budget, priorities, responsibilities, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact or, when a Program Manager owns the broader relationship, lead project-level communication and delivery in alignment with that role.
  • Establish and maintain project plans, trackers, milestones, risks, issues, actions, dependencies, contacts, and other required project controls.
  • Build customer trust through professionalism, responsiveness, transparency, and consistent follow-through.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through influence, setting priorities and driving accountability without direct reporting authority.
  • Coordinate internal, external, and third-party resources required to successfully deliver assigned projects.
  • Monitor open orders received from Sales Support and manage customer fulfillment requests, schedule requirements, priorities, and delivery commitments.
  • Maintain integrated plans covering technical approvals, production services, shipping, delivery, resources, dependencies, and customer readiness.
  • Confirm international compliance readiness with Sales before applicable orders advance.
  • Ensure order documentation, technical approvals, production requirements, logistics details, and site-readiness requirements are complete and aligned to required dates.
  • Schedule and oversee production services, build requests, and supporting documentation in alignment with project requirements and customer commitments.
  • Partner with production and Integration Center teams to monitor progress and resolve schedule, capacity, quality, and readiness issues.
  • Oversee product and delivery-related issues, including shipment logistics, late or changed shipment dates, DOAs, licensing, and other fulfillment concerns.
  • Confirm production and shipping requirements are satisfied before release, escalating material risks with clear impacts and recommended actions.
  • Provide customers and Professional Services teams with required logistics, deliverable, shipment, and tracking information.
  • Monitor shipments through delivery and confirm receipt at the customer site before considering applicable delivery activities complete.
  • Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and customer commitments.
  • Maintain accurate project, order, production, shipment, risk, issue, action, and decision information within designated systems.
  • Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks and issues, driving mitigation and timely resolution.
  • Provide customers, account teams, Program Managers, and delivery leadership with clear status, milestone, risk, issue, and action reporting.
  • Assess changes in scope or priority and communicate impacts to timing, cost, resources, dependencies, and customer expectations.
  • Validate completion of project requirements and obtain customer acceptance/signoff as required.
  • Complete required project documentation, financial activities, invoicing support, and project closure activities.
  • Lead project health checks and recovery efforts for projects that are not meeting delivery expectations.
  • Participate in lessons-learned and after-action reviews and drive practical improvements to delivery processes, controls, reporting, and cross-functional ways of working.
