We are currently looking to hire a Protective Intelligence Analyst to join our team embedded with our client! This is a remote position.

This is a full time remote position, working Monday - Friday during business hours, with flexibility in scheduling to ensure that after hour events and weekends are covered based on operational need. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Protective Intelligence Analyst supports the intelligence function by identifying, assessing, and monitoring threats and risks to the Principal’s family members, residences, travel, assets, and reputation. Reporting to the Intelligence Manager, this role is responsible for producing timely, actionable intelligence that supports protective decision-making, travel security, residential security, and risk-informed planning.

The analyst applies structured analytic tradecraft, open-source intelligence (OSINT), digital risk monitoring, and threat assessment methodologies to detect indicators of concern, assess potential escalation, and inform protective posture. This role works closely with the Intelligence Manager, Director of Intelligence, protective operations personnel, and other trusted stakeholders to ensure intelligence is translated into practical security recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Protective Intelligence Monitoring & Threat Assessment

• Monitor, identify, and assess threats related to personal safety, fixation, stalking, targeted violence, protest activity, extremism, kidnapping, harassment, and criminal activity.
• Conduct ongoing threat assessments related to the Principal, family members, residences, travel, and other areas of risk exposure.
• Identify behavioral, situational, and digital indicators that may suggest escalation toward harmful or disruptive activity.
• Support case management and threat monitoring efforts through timely collection, documentation, and analytic updates.

Intelligence Collection & Analysis

• Collect, evaluate, and synthesize information from open sources, internal reporting, trusted vendors, and other approved channels.
• Apply structured analytic techniques and sound source evaluation practices to produce clear, defensible assessments.
• Develop intelligence products including threat assessments, executive briefs, alerts, profiles, and monitoring summaries.
• Distinguish between credible threats, nuisance activity, and non-threatening reporting through disciplined analytic judgment.

Travel & Event Support

• Support production of domestic and international travel risk assessments covering crime, civil unrest, terrorism, health concerns, infrastructure issues, and region-specific threats.
• Monitor emerging developments that may affect travel, protective operations, or event security.
• Provide real-time intelligence support during travel, special events, or elevated threat periods as directed by the Intelligence Manager.
• Assist in preparing advanced intelligence packages to support secure movement and informed decision-making.

Residential & Asset Risk Support

• Support intelligence-led assessments related to residences, estates, offices, aircraft, vessels, and other high-value assets.
• Identify indicators of protest planning, surveillance, activist targeting, insider concerns, criminal interest, or other threats affecting physical locations.
• Provide analytic support to inform security posture decisions made by the Chief Security Officer and protective leadership.
• Coordinate with protective operations, residential security, and facilities stakeholders to ensure intelligence is reflected in planning and awareness.

Reputation & Digital Risk

• Monitor reputational and digital risk indicators, including online targeting, doxxing, impersonation, misinformation, activism, and hostile narrative development.
• Assess how online rhetoric, digital exposure, or reputational issues may correlate with physical security risk.
• Support intelligence reporting for legal, communications, and advisory stakeholders when reputational issues create or amplify protective concerns.
• Track and escalate online activity that may signal fixation, mobilization, or convergence with real-world threats.

Reporting & Decision Support

• Produce concise, accurate, and timely intelligence products for the Intelligence Manager and other authorized stakeholders.
• Support the Intelligence Manager in preparing executive-level briefings and protective intelligence updates for senior leadership.
• Maintain clear documentation, analytic records, and case notes in accordance with organizational protocols.
• Escalate urgent or high-risk developments promptly and with sound judgment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• 3-7+ years of experience in protective intelligence, threat assessment, intelligence analysis, investigations, security intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience conducting intelligence collection, threat monitoring, and analytic assessments in support of security, executive protection, law enforcement, military, government, or corporate environments.
• Strong understanding of protective intelligence principles, threat assessment methodologies, and structured analytic tradecraft.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze ambiguous information, evaluate source credibility, and produce clear written assessments.
• Experience using OSINT tools, social media analysis, public records research, or digital risk monitoring platforms.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor intelligence to operational and executive audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting executive protection, protective services, corporate security, family office security, or high-profile individuals.
• Alternatively, prior experience in a US federal intelligence, law enforcement, homeland security, military intelligence, or related national security environment.
• Experience adapting government or law enforcement analytic methodologies to private-sector or executive protection settings.
• Familiarity with digital threat monitoring, online threat actor behavior, fixation warning signs, and reputational risk indicators.
• Experience supporting travel security assessments, event security, or location-based risk analysis.
• Exposure to case management, behavioral threat assessment, or investigative support functions.
• International experience or regional expertise relevant to travel and geographic risk analysis is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$125,000—$125,000 USD
