We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java and distributed systems to build scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable backend applications using Java.
- Design and implement distributed systems and microservices.
- Build event-driven applications using Kafka.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS.
- Containerise applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design technical solutions.
- Optimise application performance and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
Requirements:
- Mandatory Skills: Java (Core Java), Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka / Event-Driven Architecture, REST APIs, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Distributed Systems, System Design, SQL / NoSQL, Git.
- Good to Have: Cybersecurity domain experience, Startup experience, DevOps exposure, CI/CD, Linux, Performance Optimisation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Hands-on experience with Java backend development.
- Experience building scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
