Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer to support analytics, reporting, and data visualization initiatives. This role focuses on developing high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards using Microsoft Fabric and governed data products to support business decision-making.

THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE. 20-30 hrs per week.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.
Build and maintain semantic models, DAX measures, relationships, hierarchies, and calculation groups.
Develop reports using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, lakehouses, warehouses, and Direct Lake datasets.
Implement row-level and object-level security aligned with Entra ID and workspace governance.
Establish certified datasets, reusable semantic models, and reporting standards.
Optimize report performance, data refreshes, and capacity utilization.
Apply sensitivity labels and manage governed report distribution.
Integrate reporting solutions with Microsoft 365 and Teams as needed.
Support deployment pipelines, source control, and lifecycle management.
Maintain report documentation, data dictionaries, and user enablement materials.
6–8+ years of application development experience, including hands-on BI analytics and Power BI development.
Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and semantic modeling.
Experience with Power Query, dimensional modeling, and data transformation.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Direct Lake.
Knowledge of row-level security, object-level security, and workspace governance.
Experience with deployment pipelines, performance optimization, and certified datasets.
Strong data visualization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
