General Summary

The Software Test Engineer I is responsible for designing and maintaining Python automated tests for backend services, APIs, and network or infrastructure oriented systems. This role works in partnership with the Engineering teams to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential problems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides support to the Quality Engineering teams, with a high attention to detail in a disciplined agile environment
• Researches, analyzes, and documents findings

Mandatory Skills 

Strong hands-on Min 2 year's experience in Python programming for test automation.

Experience developing and maintaining automation test frameworks using Python.

Hands-on experience with  API Testing (REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON validation).

Experience with  Behave (BDD) framework or similar Behavior-

Driven Development frameworks.

Strong understanding of software testing principles, including functional, integration, and regression testing.Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

Good knowledge of  networking concepts and troubleshooting (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP, client-server communication).

Experience with Git/version control systems.

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Job Location: Pune

Hybrid: Thrice a Week from the Pune office 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience.
• 2+ years of relevant Python and test automation experience.
