What Your Day Will Look Like:

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise to the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. In this role, you will take ownership of key project components, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure deliverables meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. You'll also have opportunities to expand your leadership responsibilities through project management, client engagement, and business development.

Projected Compensation: $155,000 - $187,500+ annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation above this range may be considered for candidates whose experience and expertise significantly exceed the minimum requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and review engineering plans, design calculations, specifications, and technical documents for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
  • Apply applicable engineering standards, regulations, and design criteria to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate project delivery efforts with internal teams, subconsultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as a Task Lead, Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager on larger multidisciplinary projects, with opportunities to manage projects and contracts valued at $1M+.
  • Support project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and quality control efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and technical excellence across project deliverables.
  • Support business development activities, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and project pursuits.
  • Contribute to securing and delivering approximately $750,000 to $1.25M+ in new work annually.

What You'll Need:

  • 12+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure design principles and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and clients.
  • Basic proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred but not required.
